PAX is returning to the southern U.S. with its second PAX Unplugged expo.
Ozzie Mejia September 4, 2026 12:00 PM PAX 1ReedPop and Penny Arcade have a full line of PAX expos that run throughout the year. At one point, there was even a show in Texas. On Friday, the teams behind PAX announced a return to the southern U.S. region... sort of. While PAX South isn't coming back, Texas will be home to the second of the series' analog expos called PAX Unplugged Houston.
PAX Unplugged Houston will bring together tabletop, board gaming, and card gaming enthusiasts from around the world to help usher in the mid-point of 2027. This is the second PAX Unplugged show following the establishment of an annual show in Philadelphia, PA in 2017. Expect for the show to feature exhibitors, panels, tournaments, and community gatherings all focused on non-video gaming activities.
PAX Unplugged Houston will run from June 25-27, 2027 from the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, TX. More details about the event are expected in the months ahead.
